Hello everyone, How are you guys?
Well, I know that I have some art trades and contest pics to do and I will get them out as soon as I can, but not as fast as I usually do. My little doggie got surgery yesterday. Yes, he's ok, just in a little pain. He had a growth on his eyelid that the vet say was not something to worry about until it starts scratching his eye. We recently noticed that it was bothering him, so we took him to the vet and they set up the day for the surgery. So yeah, he had an eventful day, and I had an eventful night and so did my Mom.
Oh, plus we adopted three new little kitties that were born on the Fourth of July on my grandmothers front porch by a feral cat that had taken up residence there. I got to keep them and because I got them so young, they think I'm their mother. I got them when they were barely 6 weeks old. Oooohhh, They're sooooo Cuuttteeee. XD XD XD X3
There's one boy and two girls. The boy is a beautiful grey color and his name is Hachi. One of the girls is black and I named her Shikon. The other girl is a calico and I named her Mei Mei. Oh, and if you guessed that I named them after characters in Inuyasha, then you guessed right:
Mei Mei from Kagome (Teehe - My favorite character in Inuyasha)
Hachi, Miroku's servant, the raccoon dog
Shikon, the jewel of four souls.
Their names are perfect for them. I call Hachi "The Troublemaker (anyone that has watched Pom Poko knows that in Japanese lore, raccoons are notorious troublemakers and partiers), Shikon is "The Destroyer" (because she knocks over things and her favorite pastime is walking all over keyboards and messing things up) and Mei Mei is "The Mighty" or "Monkey One-Toe" (because she has one white toe and she climbs around all the time.)
Mei Mei is a mama's girl. The other two just love to play all the time.....including fucking with the two older girl cats, Honey and Cocoa. Since Honey is the ringleader, I catch Shikon and Hachi playing follow the Leader, which she does not like. So she turns around and hisses at them, but she does pretty good, since they came into her house and intruded on her territory. I'm very proud of her.
To get through to Hachi, Honey sometimes hits him on the head, but she does not use her claws. Cocoa just hides from them, so we have to make her get used to them. My Mom brings her out to sit in her lap and it works really well if she lets her go when Cocoa has had enough.
My Doggie is such a good big brother, he tries to be careful, but he so big compared to them (and he's an excited klutz), that the kitties don't want to play with him much....well, except for Hachi. He doesn't care. But, I'm happy to say that the other two kitties have figured out how to play with him without having to get near his feet and they have soo much fun now. Since he got surgery (yesterday), they miss playing with Barley (my dog) which is kinda sad in so many ways because my Doggie could not wait to meet them when we brought them home. The kitties have come to see him today and I can tell that makes him happy.
I just remembered that I have a video of the three little kitties:
